Unix Engineer (Server Provisioning / Build Project / Banking Domain)

We are looking to hire a Unix Engineer for our client in Singapore which is a top global investment bank.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the server build and work on Server Provisioning (HP, Dell)
• Work with Server support and Engineering teams on build problems and provisioning infrastructure issues.
• Communicate server build status with all relevant stakeholders.
• Lead fulfilment of server build projects and drive communication with stakeholders
• Troubleshooting for Linux hosts issues (but no level1/level2 Incident management work)
• Perform thorough QA checks on newly built servers and get them ready for handover

Requirements:

• 5+ Experience on Unix / Linux (Redhat)
• Experience on Technologies such as Cloud, Storage and Networking.
• Knowledge on HA clustering.
• Sound Knowledge on VMware
• Server Build and project experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on server automation (Ansible / Python etc.)
• Hands-on knowledge on scripting ( PowerShell / Unix / Linux Shell Scripting)
