About this role

Contract Duration: 2 years

The primary function of the FC Transaction Analyst is to support the FC Transaction lead, with the co-ordination and management of the financial close process of assigned projects, to achieve FC efficiently, and on time, in budget and with the assigned team. You will be exposed to aspects of contracting, financial modelling, negotiating, and financing as required for the projects and gain experience within the renewable energy market of South Africa. The team will comprise of internal Mulilo resources, and external advisors.

The Financial Close (FC) Transaction Analyst will report on a functional level to the FC Transaction lead.

Goals and responsibilities 

• Support the FC transaction lead with general deal management


• Preparation of committee and Board packs


• Responsibility for various workstream as required by transaction lead


• Budget compilation and tracking


• Financial model input management


• Management of the Project Plan and Schedule and tracking team adherence to the plan


• Assist with management of the legal and technical due diligence workstreams


• Set up and maintenance of virtual data rooms


• Engaging with project advisors, partners, and offtakers, as required by transaction lead

Required skills and education background.

• Tertiary Degree in relevant field (Engineering, relevant Finance/Quantitative degree)


• Possession of a valid, South Africa Code 08 driver’s license.


• Strong administrative skills.


• Proven ability to work within a team.


• Proven ability to solve problems creatively.

Additional Information

Able to work overtime according to operational needs.

The position is based at the offices of the company, but travel may be required occasionally.
