Job Description - Finance Manager

A dynamic and rapidly expanding renewable energy company is seeking an exceptional Finance Manager to join the team on a fixed -term maternity contract for 6 - 7 months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the full finance function within a purpose -driven, high -growth environment.

Responsibilities:

Working with the support of a junior bookkeeper, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the end -to -end management of the finance function, including but not limited to:

Full invoicing and revenue management
Credit control and debt collection
Monthly management accounts and reporting
Covenant monitoring and reporting
Management of the annual audit process
Preparation and review of annual financial statements
Liaison with external auditors and advisors
Payroll and assistance with HR
Statutory compliance and tax submissions, including VAT, PAYE, DWT, and Income Tax
Treasury management and cashflow
Budgeting
Insurance renewals

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant degree in Accounting or Financial Management
Honours degree and/or professional qualification: CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA
5–10 years’ experience in a similar finance management role
Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands -on operational experience
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance function
Experience with Financial Modelling would be advantageous
Knowledge of Sage Online and Sage Payroll would be beneficial
