Your Purpose

As a Freelance
Copywriter, you’ll be the voice behind our travel brands, creating compelling, SEO-driven content that informs, inspires, and converts. From immersive blog posts to sharp UX microcopy and scroll-stopping social content, you’ll bring our destinations to life while keeping our brand voice polished, consistent, and resonant.

Your Core Responsibilities:

📝 Content Creation

• Write high-quality, engaging content for websites, blogs, emails, and digital campaigns.
  


• Capture our brand voice and translate complex travel experiences into accessible, inspiring narratives.
  
  

🧭 UX & Microcopy

• Craft clear, user-friendly CTAs, headings, and in-platform copy that guides users seamlessly through their journey.
  
  

🔍 SEO & Keyword Strategy

• Collaborate with the SEO team to optimise content for discoverability.
  


• Conduct keyword research and weave insights into every piece you write.
  
  

📱 Social Media Storytelling

• Review social media content for accuracy.
  
  

🛠 Editing & Collaboration

• Edit and proof content for style, grammar, and tone.
  


• Collaborate with internal teams and manage other freelance writing contributions to maintain a unified brand voice.

Who We’re Looking For: 

• A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing—or equivalent experience.
  


• 5+ years’ experience as a copywriter/editor, including digital B2C work (travel industry experience is a big plus).
  


• Proven ability to write for multiple digital channels (web, blog, email, social).
  


• Strong SEO knowledge and experience working with UX and design teams.
  


• Exceptional editing skills and obsessive attention to detail.
  


• Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently.
  
  

Bonus If You Have:

• PR writing experience.
  


• Familiarity with AI content tools.
  


• A deep love for Africa and its stories.
