Group Financial Accountant

A growing fintech company seeks an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join their international finance team, managing comprehensive accounting operations for their Australian subsidiary. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain specialised expertise in cross-border financial management while working with cutting-edge financial technology platforms. CA(SA) OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance with SAIPA or SAICA articles completion strongly preferred. 

• Payroll Administration: Complete management of Australian employee compensation, including salaries, expense reimbursements, and employee benefits coordination
  
• Vehicle Fleet Management: Oversee employee vehicle lease arrangements and associated financial processing
  
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely processing of PAYG, Superannuation Guarantee (SG), HELP/HECS debt repayments, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and Child Support Deductions
  
• Payroll Journal Processing: Prepare and post all payroll-related journal entries
  

Requirements

• CA(SA) OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance with SAIPA or SAICA articles completion strongly preferred
  
• Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
  
• Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct or comparable enterprise accounting platforms
  
• Experience with group structures, consolidations, and inter-company transactions
  
• Proven experience managing foreign currency transactions and reporting
  
• Understanding of both South African and Australian payroll and tax regulations
  
• Prior work within multinational organisations with foreign subsidiaries advantageous
  
• Advanced problem-solving and financial analysis capabilities
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder interaction
  
• Proven ability to meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  
• Self-directed work approach with minimal supervision requirements
