The HR Administrator is responsible for providing efficient administrative support to the Human Resources function, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with company policies and labour legislation, and the smooth coordination of HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle. This role also supports the digitalisation of HR processes, including the management and migration of employee records and documentation to the Company's HRIS.
KEY TASKS
General:
Provide administrative support to the HR department.
Maintain employee records and ensure all personnel files are accurate and up to date.
Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure confidentiality of all employees and company information.
Support HR projects and initiatives as required.
Migration of employee records and documentation to the Company's HRIS.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Coordinate recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation.
Facilitate new employee onboarding and induction processes.
Employee Administration:
• Capture and maintain employee data on HR systems.
• Assist with leave administration.
• Support employee wellness, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
HR-related / AI-related certifications will be advantageous.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in an HR administrative role.
Working knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
Experience with HR information systems and employee record management.
Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience working with Teams, Slack or an HRIS platform would be advantageous.
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment will be advantageous.
