We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Wages Administrator to join our client based in Germiston, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee wages and ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and internal company policies. Please note that this is a 3-month contract; permanent employment will be based on performance after the 3-month probation period.
Your responsibilities would entail the following:
Full payroll function on SAGE VIP Premier system (wages and salaries)
Macro importing and capturing of weekly and monthly timesheets into SAGE payroll
Reconciling of weekly and monthly payments (All 3rd party payments - Medical aid, Councils levies, provident/pension, garnishee, unions, SARS DOL, etc.) to monthly payroll reports and submission of journals to group bookkeepers
Reconciliation and submission of monthly EMP201’s, on SARS e-fling, annual EMP501’s and distribution of IRP5’s to ensure SARS compliance
Importing of weekly/monthly payroll ACB files into the FNB Online Business System
UIF declaration submissions to the Department of Labour and issuing of UIF claim documents to employees
Completing and submission of provident claim files (MIBFA)
Complete and submit MIBFA wage employees' 2 pot savings claims
Prepare and distribute wage data reports as requested by group companies (monthly leave provisions and overtime reporting)
Print/email weekly and monthly payslips and distribute to group companies
Prepare and assist the payroll administrator with the annual RMA/ COIDA return of earnings, to ensure valid LOG’s
Assists with the preparation of wages, annual budgets, and increase schedules
Managing all the wage employees’ personal files
Requirements
Grade 12
5 years of SAGE VIP Premier payroll experience
FULL SAGE VIP Premier payroll function (employments, terminations, earnings/deductions, reports)
Knowledge of all payroll calculations (earnings/ deductions /company contributions/leave, etc.)
Knowledge of BCEA payroll rules and calculations
Knowledge of MIBFA and NBCCI agreements and payroll calculations
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), Outlook, Teams
Ability to maintain the highest standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and honesty
Excellent communication skills, read and write in English
The ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
Time management, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines
