Job Description - SAIPA/CIMA Trainee Accountant - Cape Town
Outsourced CFO is recruiting for SAIPA/CIMA Trainee Accountants to join our team!
As a SAIPA/CIMA Trainee Accountant, your role is designed to offer you comprehensive training and mentorship as you develop key accounting and financial management skills. Over the course of the three-year program, your responsibilities will evolve from basic tasks to more advanced functions, with a gradual reduction in supervision, allowing you to take on increasing responsibility and independence.
Job description:
Client Services:
Record and process cashbook, debtors, creditors, and assets, and prepare supporting schedules with guidance and supervision.
Assist with payroll tasks, including payroll processing, reconciliations, and submissions (EMP201, EMP501, COIDA/WCA) under guidance and supervision.
Assist with preparing supporting schedules for annual financial statements and compiling basic financial statements under supervision.
Ensure SARS compliance, including preparation of VAT schedules, reconciliations, and submission of VAT201 under guidance and supervision.
Engage with clients to build and maintain relationships.
Client Admin:
Update CRM with client details.
Assist with clients onboarding and offboarding.
Planning & Client admin:
Plan monthly deliverables for your assigned portfolio.
Submit timesheets on time, before COB on Fridays.
Ensure daily sign-offs for all projects in your portfolio.
People & Company culture:
Regularly attend and participate in company team events.
Develop and maintain a positive, productive company culture.
Promote and ensure adherence to company values.
Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Training & skills development:
Ensure scheduled training is completed.
Engage with Cloud Accounting Manager for support on unfamiliar tasks.
Provide deliverable training updates.
Stay updated with the latest accounting industry changes and trends.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bcom Accounting Degree or equivalent and be based in Cape Town, South Africa.
