Senior Management Accountant

Overview of the Company:

Steyn Group is a global family office for the investment arm of a private family which undertakes a number of commercial investments and philanthropic activities. These investments and activities are predominantly in the UK, USA and Africa. Whilst
the majority of the role will be supporting Steyn Group it will also support the family members in relation to their personally and family held assets in these jurisdictions.
Whilst predominantly working with the Steyn Group family office the role will also work closely with other family offices in the UK, Guernsey and South Africa supporting the Steyn family.

Purpose of the role:

To provide accurate and timely financial and tax reporting for the Steyn Group and to assist the Finance Manager, strong focus on PBSA (Student Accommodation) and Co-Living assets.

12 month fixed-term contract based at Steyn City.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Accounting

- Monthly accounting to deadlines.

- Monthly sales ledger, invoicing and recharges.

- Monthly trial balance import to deadlines.

- Completion of profit or loss and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Prepare and submit VAT returns

Reporting

- Monthly preparation and review of management reports to deadlines.

- Monthly cash flow management.

- Annual financial reports and statements to deadlines.

- Tax reporting and compliance.

- Audit management where applicable.

- Lender and investor reporting where applicable

- Covenant management

Documentation management

- Ensure financial and tax records are filed consistently for ease of retrieval.

- Ensure all documentation is current and up to date.

- Maintain financial and tax processes and document/communicate where necessary.

- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data.

Other

- Assist with ad hoc queries and reporting from the Real Estate team

Support the Finance Manager and wider finance function.

SAIPA or CIMA

Matric and Degree essential
