Accounts Payable

Job Description:

Cell C is seeking a passionate and energetic Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As a key member of the finance department, the Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and resolving any discrepancies.

Responsibilities: - Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies - Reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies - Prepare and process electronic payments - Monitor and reconcile accounts payable transactions - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes - Maintain accurate and updated records of all accounts payable transactions - Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve any issues or payment discrepancies - Assist with audits and provide support as needed - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable processes

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Prior experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred - Strong research and strategic planning skills - Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
