Online Accountant

Job Description:

MTN South Africa is looking for a highly skilled Online Accountant to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As an Associate Level Online Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of our online platforms and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and maintain financial records for our online platforms. 2. Analyze financial data and provide insights to help drive business decisions. 3. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards. 4. Monitor and reconcile online transactions to ensure accuracy. 5. Collaborate with other teams to improve financial processes and systems. 6. Generate financial reports and summaries for management review. 7. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for online projects. 8. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities. 9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in online accounting. 10. Provide support and training to junior staff members as needed.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2. 3 years of experience in online accounting or a related role. 3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred. 4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. 5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Resilient and able to work independently under pressure. 8. Strong problem-solving skills and leadership abilities. 9. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 10. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
