SUMMARY:
Accountant POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Managing financial transactions, analysing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Fixed Asset Register monitoring and processing of transactions
Process, record, and reconcile all transactions related to bank accounts.
Assist with monthly reconciliations of balance sheet general ledger accounts and income statement analysis.
Prepare journals for monthly accruals and provisions and update schedules.
Assist in resolving accounting queries with the Group Financial Manager.
Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly payments.
Assist with review of accounts payable process, reviewing and monitoring of expense claims.
Managing the ASSA report and function to ensure the completeness of accounts and timely payments.
Prepare weekly and monthly payments reports for the finance manager.
Assist with the preparation of monthly reports.
Assist with administration of bank applications,
KYCs, and other admin required.
Reports responsible:
o Entertainment Report
o Social Budget Report
o BBEEE Procurement Report
o ASSA Report
o Wi-Fi & Cell Phone Reimbursement Report
o Adhoc reports requested.
Minimum Requirements:
Min of 2-3 Years work experience in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Experience in multi-currencies for an international group of companies is an advantage.
Previous experience with any accounting system.
ERM Software – Acumatica, experience is not necessary as training will be provided.
Advanced Proficiency in Excel (pivots, spreadsheets)
