Your previous senior financial leadership and excellent communication skills stand you in good stead. As well as your ability to identify potential risk for the business and mitigate without adversely disadvantaging or limiting business performance. IT systems and knowledge including proficiency in Microsoft Office, XERO, and CRM management systems.
The Chief Financial Officer Opportunity:
The MS Society SA & NT are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified and proven finance professionals with demonstrated experience in a business of comparable scale and complexity. The successful candidate will be commercially, technologically, and legally astute, with a perceptive and analytical mindset. Resilient, and considered in approach, they will be able to work at a pace in line with a dynamic flow of the business.
Importantly they will demonstrate strong leadership coupled with the credibility and professional presence to quickly become a trusted internal advisor to the Board and senior management.
There are a team of 11 staff, inclusive of corporate services, quality, IT, and finance team. Being a part of the executive team will also provide broader opportunities within the organisation to contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening MS Society SA & NT's capability to improve the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis or other neurological conditions.
You will be expected to provide quality and timely advice to the Board Chair, Board, CEO, and key stakeholders regarding the efficient administration of the business across governance and financial structures including:
Corporate compliance within the organisation's regulatory environment,
Board management, relationship management with financial, regulatory, and external bodies,
Insurance administration and organisation,
Asset management,
The interpretation of financial accounts.
Key Relationships:
Reports to the CEO
Attendance at Board Meetings
High level and credible relationships with Company Board, Executive Peers, and Senior leaders of the business
Professional and credible relationships with Financial Institutes, tax offices and officials, insurance companies, audit, and government authorities throughout multiple jurisdictions
Leadership for a team comprised of finance and corporate services
Professional relationships/mentoring and coaching with finance leaders across the business
