Division:

 

One of the largest businesses within the Sanlam Group, Sanlam Corporate (SC) specialises in the provision of risk, investment and administration services to institutions and retirement funds. Focused on meeting the unique needs of its diverse clients, SC assists companies in creating and delivering customised employee benefits solutions, including the collection of premiums and communication to fund members.

The overall purpose of the role:

 

The role is in the Client Solutions team, who are the sales team within SC.  The role requires the candidate to provide support to the Client Solutions Specialist in achieving their new business targets; by assisting with quotes, implementations, general queries and helping maintain a strong relationship with the clients they service.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Process all quote requests for brokers, as received from the Employee Benefits Specialists
  • Facilitate the total tender process i.e. obtaining all info, completing forms, attaching on SharePoint and sending to SGR, follow ups, address queries, etc.
  • Keep Employee Benefits Specialists informed of the progress at all times
  • Responsible to monitor that any new business is fully implemented, etc.
  • Ongoing Monitoring of tenders per brokerage and capturing of info & industry knowledge
  • Provide summary of quotes on a monthly basis to Employee Benefits Specialists for discussion with brokers.
  • Keep the Employee Benefits Specialists informed during the entire process; with regards to issues, outstanding information and/or anything that may affect turnaround times, etc.

Key Responsibilities (continues) :

 

  • Maintain close working relationships with the ‘back-office’
  • Generate, communicate and distribute quality and relevant information to members of the team and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that any contact necessary with a client, is done so in a professional manner
  • High level client communication and presentation standards
  • Monitor rate revision process of existing business and provide monthly reports

Qualification and Experience:

 

  • Relevant tertiary financial/investment qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Employee Benefits industry
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office

Turnaround time

The shortlisting process will only start once the application due date has been reached. The time taken to complete this process will depend on how far you progress and the availability of managers.
