JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading Global provider in their industry, currently requires the services of a Senior Financial Manager to support the Business Unit by contributing to the overall success of the Business Unit and effectively manage all management/financial and distribution controls in line with recognised accounting/auditing standards and procedures and providing appropriate financial advice.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

  • B Com with Accounting and Auditing.
  • Management Development Programme (MDP) will serve as an advantage.
  • Min 8 to 10 years post-graduate experience in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Administration.
  • Min 5 years Management experience.
  • SAP experience essential.
The Job:
Report to the General Manager:
  • Control the management and financial function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Collate, prepare and interpret reports, budgets, forecasts, accounts, commentaries and financial statements that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ensure that all financial statutory requirements are met and prepare all supporting information for the annual audit.
  • Liaise with the Internal & External Auditors.
  • Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortised, and disposed of as appropriate (asset verification and Useful Life Assessments).
  • Develop and analyse information to assess the current and future financial status and communicate to the Management team.
  • Prepare operational and risk reports for management analysis and produce long-term business plans.
  • Undertake input into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance to ensure that the objectives and profitability are met.
  • Plan, direct and co-ordinate risk and Insurance Brokers to control insurable risks.
  • Ensure that VAT, Customs & Excise Legislation is complied with.
  • Ensure that tax benefits available to the Group are duly claimed.
