Seeking a Head Operations in Lagos

POSITION INFO:
As the Head of Operations for my client’s Sulfuric Acid and Alum plant in Agbara, Lagos, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing plant operations. Your responsibilities will include adhering to production planning, scheduling, and safe work processes while enhancing product quality, customer satisfaction, and maintenance efficiency. Additionally, you will lead the successful execution of projects, ensuring they meet defined objectives, timelines, costs, and quality standards, driving organizational growth and operational excellence. Education:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering , process engineering , chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees are advantageous.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Sulfuric Acid and Alum manufacturing or a similar chemical manufacturing industry, with expertise in plant operation, processing, and quality control procedures.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance processes to minimize equipment downtime and maximize plant availability.
• Establish efficient supply chain processes for spares, raw materials, and finished goods to eliminate shortages.
• Ensure projects meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accurate project documentation and ensure timely handover.
• Optimize production efficiency through resource utilization and inventory management.
• Implement robust quality control processes to ensure product specifications and compliance.
• Develop and enhance team capabilities through structured training and development.
• Plan and execute projects to meet delivery timelines, costs, and quality standards.
• Promote safety awareness and compliance with environmental regulations.
