The Production Assistant will be responsible for managing the quality activities in the production environment. Will also be responsible for interaction between other admin departments, workshop and production. Bag labelling managing packaging and labelling. Assist with SHEQ responsibilities, issuing clearances and getting Induction completed.

Matric or equivalent

Previous experience in similar environment. Would be advantageous

• samples storage control
• bag weights
• accurate info on printing of bag labels
• qc complaints and faults
• preparation for next shift
• confirm boms with factory manager
• labels and bags needed for production

Other requirements:

• ordering of bag stocks (stock control)
• issuing P.P.E (dust mask etc.)
• issuing clearances
• housekeeping & safety checks
• site inductions
• technical ability (blender operation)

• Be detail and quality driven.
• Be proficient in MS Office.
• Have good time and stress management skills as well as good communication and conflict management skills.
• Be a team player.
