Operations Manager

Job Description:

As an Operations Manager at Harmony Gold in Pretoria, Gauteng, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities within the company to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will work closely with various departments to streamline processes, implement improvements, and achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience and possess a strong work ethic, driven personality, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity. 2. Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities, including production, quality control, and logistics. 3. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and implement solutions. 5. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 6. Manage budget and resources effectively to achieve financial targets. 7. Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of operational staff. 8. Foster a culture of cooperation, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the organization. 9. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness. 10. Communicate regularly with senior management to report on operational performance and suggest improvements.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. 2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the mining industry. 3. Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Proficiency in project management tools and software. 6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 7. Certification in operations management or related field is a plus.
