Job Description - Risk Operations Manager


SUMMARY:
Risk Operations Manager POSITION INFO:
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to apply your risk skills and experience to implement and further develop the companies’ Risk strategies for multiple sites. The successful applicant will be based in Richardsbay (or be willing to relocate) and will be responsible to proactively help assess and solve client challenges related to criminality, security, internal and external threats, health and safety within retail and fuel business operations. Main job functions
  • Conduct detailed risk analysis and develop recommendations for mitigation measures across multiple risk areas including operational, compliance, safety and security, reputational, and human rights.
  • Proactively identify operational efficiencies for client operations across multiple sites for the client within the retail and fuel sector.
  • Develop and fuse multiple streams of information to create assessments and identify areas of vulnerability.
  • Prepare written reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use risk management and intelligence platforms and mobile applications to assist client operations.
  • Assess processes and procedures, incident management, and duty of care measures.
  • Assist with audits and investigations.
  • Prepare and deliver training to client personnel.
  • Research new technology and recommend opportunities for integration.
  • Exemplify and drive an innovative and adaptable approach to risk management.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 and Relevant Risk Management qualification.
  • At least five years’ experience.
  • Experience within the retail industry is required.
  • Commitment to adhering to the highest legal and ethical standards
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of risk management, investigation, and information collection strategies.
  • Clean criminal record check
  • Clean, full driving licence

  • The successful candidate must have the ability to present complex technical findings, methodologies, and recommendations in a concise and easily actionable manner.
