Job Description - Senior Media Buyer

Job Description: We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Media Buyer to oversee our media buying initiatives. As the Senior Media Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media buying strategies that align with business goals and objectives. You will lead a team of media buyers, negotiate media buys, and optimize campaigns to drive maximum ROI and achieve business results.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic media buying plans across various channels and platforms, including traditional and digital media.
  2. Lead the media buying team in researching target audience demographics, behaviors, and media consumption habits to inform media strategies and tactics.
  3. Identify and evaluate media opportunities, negotiate rates, placements, and added value opportunities to maximize media exposure and achieve cost-effective results.
  4. Collaborate with marketing, advertising, and creative teams to develop media strategies, ad creative, and messaging that align with campaign objectives.
  5. Monitor and analyze media performance metrics, such as reach, frequency, impressions, click-through rates, and conversion rates, to measure effectiveness and optimize performance.
  6. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in media buying and advertising, and recommend innovative approaches to drive results.
  7. Manage relationships with media vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure timely execution and delivery of media buys and campaigns.
  8. Mentor and coach junior media buyers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow and develop their skills.
  9. Prepare and present media plans, buy recommendations, and performance reports to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  10. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align media buying initiatives with overall business strategies and objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum of six years of experience in media buying, advertising, or related roles, with demonstrated success in planning and executing media campaigns.
  3. Strong understanding of media planning and buying principles, best practices, and industry trends.
  4. Proficiency in media buying tools and platforms, such as Nielsen, comScore, Kantar, Strata, Mediaocean, or similar software.
  5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with media vendors and partners.
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  7. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of media buyers.
  8. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
  10. Commitment to delivering high-quality work and driving results that align with business objectives.
