Basic Job Functions:

The O&M Technician performs fieldwork required to operate and maintain the solar plants. The fieldwork includes daily monitoring of the plant, perform preventative and corrective maintenance as required on the sites.

Experience/Minimum requirements are:

Minimum of Grade 12
Electrical experience but no need for a qualified electrician
Practical experience with electrical wiring and basic construction practices required.
Between 1 to 3 years working with solar electric systems or electrical systems or commercial construction.
Knowledge of building and structural construction techniques.
Ability to read single line drawings.
Good verbal, written, communication and presentation skills in English with computer literacy with packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point
Must have a valid driver’s license.
