Job Summary
Responsible for receipting, inventory control and despatching administration functions for own and 3PL warehouses, this includes stock and non-stock items. The role also provides administrative support by maintaining systems and ensuring all data is recorded in the appropriate databases thereby ensuring goods are delivered to customer, on time and in full.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring accurate receipting, inventory control and dispatching of products in and out of the warehouse.
- Picking and order validation
- Ensure relevant documentation (delivery notes/COA’s/SDS’s) are quality checked before goods are receipted/despatched.
- Perform the required Hazchem verifications to ensure compliance to the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996
- Keep record of despatched and receipted goods (stock and non-stock)
- Confirmation of Pod’s
- Inventory cycle counts
- Coordinate the movement of products between sites.
- Ensure appropriate equipment and consumables are available and in working order.
- Report defective equipment.
- House keeping
- Comply with Safety (including Process Safety), Health, Quality and Environmental standards.
- Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures, and practices
YOUR PROFILE
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- 2 years of administrative experience within the chemicals industry (Food/Pharma/DG and non-DG goods) preferred.
- Knowledge of GWP (Good Warehousing Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), as applicable would be advantageous.
- SAP knowledge (Advantageous)
