Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for a Civil Engineer - QAQC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) - SS & TL (Site Supervisor) and (Team Leader) 

As the Civil Engineer (QAQC) - SS & TL, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, safety, and timely completion of civil construction activities for our solar project. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in civil engineering, quality assurance/control, site supervision, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections and audits of civil construction activities including foundations, structures, and utilities to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures, protocols, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead site supervision activities, ensuring that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Manage and coordinate construction teams, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the civil engineering team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and mentoring.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on quality assurance activities, progress, and compliance metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering and quality assurance/control within the renewable energy or construction industry, preferably with solar project experience.
• Experience in Solar projects.
• Proven track record in overseeing civil construction activities, conducting quality inspections, and implementing quality control measures.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and relevant regulations.
• Experience in site supervision and managing construction teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for documentation and reporting.
