Engineering Draughtsperson

Responsibilities:
- BIM Modelling and structural drafting in Revit and Autocad;
- Assists with conceptual design development and drawing, translates specifications and designs into engineering drawings to be issued for construction.
- Drawings must provide unambiguous scope for execution.
- Contribute to the success and profitability of projects by applying technical skills and efficient working practices
- In conjunction with the engineer produce functional, economical and technically correct drawings.
- Provide the engineer with preliminary drawings with initial conceptual information for further refinement
- Reinforcing detailing
- Calculate quantities and measurements to enable the team to produce effective and accurate schedules.
- Coordination with all disciplines
- Manage drawings received and the drawings issuing process
- Review incoming drawings and advise the engineer and draughters on changes required
- Manage projects during execution stage: shared responsibility with the engineer as required
- Manage compliance with the ISO 9001 quality system and drawing standards
- Good people and communication skills Requirements:
- Revit and Autocad is essential,
- Experience in structural drafting in Revit and with BIM modelling Qualifications And Experience:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in the management and execution of projects
- Experience in all types of building structures, and experience in civil structures projects will be an advantage
- Revit and Autocad is essential.
