This transaction increased the company's access to capital which resulted in investments into state-of-the-art machinery and equipment currently being used at its six plants, including two crushing plants (North-West Province), three ready-mix concrete plants (in Stilfontein, Potchefstroom and Kimberley) and gypsum plant (in Potchefstroom).COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications: Matric certificate or equivalent Tertiary Qualification will be advantageous Valid Driver's licence Fully proficient in MS Office Experience: Three to five years' work experience in the same position Technical Key Performance Areas In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety protocols. Proficiency in using construction/concrete management software and tools. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly, implementing effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency. Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and equipment for maintenance activities. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of machinery and equipment. Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure that products meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of plant operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels. Manage operations remotely and be willing to work in remote areas as projects require.
