Site Foreman/Supervisor - JhbFull job descriptionResponsible for overseeing all construction activities, ensuring that all works are well planned, and construction materials procured and delivered on time.Responsible for working collaboratively with all sub-contractors to ensure that construction works are carried out in strict adherence to project specifications, time and budget expectations.Report to the Project Manager.Responsible for analysing and interpreting detailed design submissions related to civil / structural works and provide technical guidance.Develop and review method statements, drawings, methods of construction against specifications and provide technical advice.Carry out routine construction supervision.Monitor construction safety, environmental and health performance during construction worksAttend site meetings and keep site records.Understand Government Projects Processes.Have an understanding of Jbcc and Fidic Construction Contracts.Prepares reports on project time, equipment, materials and progress including project cost expenditures and balances.Reviews the work of skilled trade’s workers and equipment operators.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSDiploma in Building or any similar qualification. Minimum NQF LEVEL 5.5+ years’ experience in site supervision and construction management of major building structures.Must have been a site foreman for project of R20mil in value and above.Registration with relevant professional bodies.Good understanding of construction works.Highly motivated, able to work independently and under pressure, and willing to take on new challenges.Extremely proficient with Ms Office Suite.Excellent Communication skills.A valid C1 / Code 10 Driver’s License.Ability to analyse and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Job Type: Full-timePay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Site Supervising: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:C1 Driver's License (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/06/30Expected Start Date: 2024/08/01
