Steel Construction Site Manager

We urgently need an experienced Construction Site Manager in Rustenburg

- BEng Civil Engineer / NHD in Engineering / Degree in Engineering

- 5 - 10 Years experience as Construction Site Manager in a MINING ENVIRONMENT

- Previous experience in constructing large steel structures in a MINING ENVIRONMENT would be essential

- Experience on FIDIC and NEC

- Experienced in General Contracting and Project Management

- Previous background experience as an Estimator, Building Technician, Surveyor and site supervisor would be beneficial

- Coordinate and supervise a variety of projects, including building commercial, and industrial structures.

- Managing the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating contractors, monitoring materials, organising equipment, and scheduling deliveries.

- Supervising the on-site team, including construction workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff.

- Solving any problems or challenges that arise on-site

- Prepare accurate estimates by analyzing drawings, scope of work, and provided specifications

- Meet deadlines for all the phases of the construction project

- Liaise with suppliers and distributors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and supplies

- Analyze and interpret detailed drawings effectively.

- Identify additional materials needed for projects.

- Demonstrate dependability by following management direction and seeking feedback for improvement.

- Ensure quality by maintaining accuracy

- Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to Management

- Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors

- Buying materials for each phase of the project

- Monitoring build and construction costs and project progress

- Conducting quality and safety inspections

- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings

- Maintaining quality control checks

- Motivating the workforce

- Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise

- Using specialist project management computer programmes (Nesting programmes / MS Projects)

Salary R70,000 - R100,000/month negotiable
