Job Description - Artisan Assistant (Automotive)

Summary

Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assist Artisan in keeping Rand Water vehicles, plant and equipment operational at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12. 
  • 2 year working experience in an automotive repair workshop (Ability to do minor services & repairs).
  • Code C1 driver's license could be an added advantage. 

Primary Duties
  • Assist in repairing and maintaining mechanical systems and components on vehicles, plant and equipment.
  • Housekeeping.
  • SHEQ.
  • General duties.
Knowledge
  • Technical courses on workshop procedure are desirable but not an essential requirement.
  • Basic relevant SHEQ knowledge.
Skills
  • Technical skill (handling of tools etc.).
  • Communication Skill.
  • Strong Observation skills.
Attitude
  • Customer Services Orientation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Results driven.
  • Politeness.
