Assessor: Hospitality & Sustainability - Western CapeFull job descriptionOur client, Go Sustainable Tourism (GST), has the abovementioned vacancy available for a self-motivated, service driven individual to join their growing team. GST is a management method for entrepreneurs in the Tourism ‘Stay industry’, interested in managing their business for sustainability and attracting more clients/tourists.The Assessor will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the quality of tourism establishments providing accommodation to clients/tourists. Assessments are done on 4 key pillars namely: Conservation, Community, Customer and Company.The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Ensure that all assessment visits are conducted in accordance with the procedural requirements of GST *Prepare for client/site assessments prior to visiting the site *Asses, investigate and produce results on assessments also in the form of written reports *Maintain detailed knowledge of quality management system, procedures and policies to ensure that enquiries by applicants can be dealt with promptly and accurately *Build and maintain effective stakeholder relations with guesthouse and other similar establishments *Provide a range of advice and feedback to members regarding findings based on assessment, in order to improve quality in line with assessment objectives *Produce written quality advisory reports for members *All other tasks related to this role.Essential qualifications, skills and experience:Relevant tertiary qualification in Tourism/Hospitality/Quality Management would be beneficial;Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry;Knowledge of South African standards in accommodation and tourism products;Previous quality grading experience in tourism and accommodation products would be advantageous;Sales and/or marketing experience;Tourist/guest experience in tourism products;Excellent computer & numerical literacy (specifically Excel);Drivers license and own reliable transport;Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);Willingness to travel extensively (overnight stay at client assessments included when assessing the establishments).Please apply online at before 09:00 on 26 April 2024.For general enquiries, contact our team at M3 Human Capital Management on .Please note that only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
