Category Manager - Depot Services

SUMMARY:
My client is a leading logistics and supply chain company looking for a Category Manager for their Depot Services in Cape Town. This is an exciting role for the right person who will preferably hold a CIPS or CSCP qualification.  South African citizens may apply and please only do so if you are a match to the requirements set out.

POSITION INFO:
This role will have the responsibility to oversee the sourcing, procurement, QA, pricing and cost management for products and services required at their depots. Key functions

• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement
• Lead generation of RFIs, RFQs and RFPs and execute the bidding process to secure best value for client
• Sourcing
• Maintain key relationships with suppliers
• Stock management
• Replenishment
• Cost and financial management
• Systems knowledge and experience (ERP)
• Supplier management
• Pricing
• People management
• Solid understanding and experience of import processes including INCOTERMS
• Data analysis

Essential qualifications or prior experience

• Tertiary qualification, CIPs or CSCP
• Previous experience in a Category Management, senior buying role within support services
