ABOUT THE CAPITAL TEAM

Customer Centricity is the core of our DNA and everything we do is centred around serving our customers, the Capital team plays a very important role in fulfilling this commitment to our customers. This team will be contributing to the continued growth of Yoco Capital sales volume and overall revenue in the business.

About the Capital Team

As a Capital Sales consultant, you will be focusing on growing our Capital Portfolio and ensuring to guide our customers to the best-fit offering for their business. You will also be taking on a supporting role, should our customers reach out with capital-related queries that your expertise can comfortably resolve and if not direct it to the right parts of the business to resolve the queries timeously. You will directly be able to influence the growth of Yoco and our mission to enable people to thrive, as you take on these key responsibilities.

What you will be doing

  • Developing a deep knowledge of the capital product (incl. pricing, repayment mechanism, tenor, affordability, market comparisons etc.)
  • Assist in achieving sales targets for the business.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations in a proactive and empathetic manner.
  • Find new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future deals.
  • Timeously answering incoming calls with a high standard of professionalism ensuring all calls are handled in a friendly, responsive and efficient manner.
  • Providing first-line customer support with expert Yoco Capital product knowledge.
  • Work well as part of a bigger team but also be able to deliver and work independently.
  • Assist in the daily administration of the Capital Sales functions
  • Recognising system error messages and escalating it with the relevant technical Capital support teams.
  • Maintain and grow a strong client base through regular engagement calls.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to bring campaigns to market.
  • Sending legal and/or surety documents to merchants.
  • Communicating between Yoco and Capital partners with regard to collections and information needed from the Capital partner's financial team.
  • Assisting in sending follow-up messages to merchants with the latest offers.
  • Escalating merchant queries regarding rates or device issues to the relevant Yoco departments

Key requirements

  • 6 month+ proven track record of customer support and/or sales experience in Capital or Lending (preferably in a fast-paced Fin-tech or traditional finance institution)
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills, with the ability to develop and nurture relationships
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate rigorous time management. 
  • Ability to learn quickly, and fast become an expert in Yoco’s Capital product offering and customer needs.
  • Must be proactive, and detail-oriented, and demonstrate resilience under pressure. 
  • Be solution driven and a self-starter
  • Ability to remain calm and perform well in high-stress moments.
  • Be tech-savvy, and have a working knowledge of operating CRM databases and other business tools, such as Salesforce, Natterbox and MessageBird
