SUMMARY:
- POSITION INFO:
Our client is urgently seeking a trade-tested and experienced ELECTRICIAN for a well-established electrical company based in Stellenbosch. Responsibilities:

• Assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Installation of electrical boxes, DB Boards, other enclosures, conduits (pipes, tubing, trunking), ground leads and connecting of power to different equipment/machinery.
• Wiring of circuit breakers, transformers and electrical equipment.
• Performing maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements on electrical equipment.
• Fault finding.
• Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule.
• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Performing ad-hoc duties.
• Reading and understanding electrical drawings.
• Commercial and industrial electrical installation services (three-phase and single-phase).
• Power continuity.
• Must adhere to the relevant electrical codes, procedures & safety policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent Certification (NQF Level 4).
• Trade Tested / Red Seal – both single- and three-phase.
• Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience.
• No criminal record.
• Valid unendorsed driver's license.
• Wireman’s license will be an advantage.

Competencies:

• Positive energy and mindset.
• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans.
• Computer literate in MS Office.
• Full understanding of SANS 10142-1 (Wiring of Premises).
• Maintenance – Multi-discipline.
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Good communication skills.
• On-site team management skills.
• Coping with pressures and setbacks.
• Able to meet deadlines of high-pressure projects.
• Traceable, working knowledge and experience in the renewable energy field. (Inverters, Solar, etc.).

• This position will require overtime work from time to time.
