Overall purpose of the job:

• Responsible for accounting of actuals of all entities within the Rewardsco Investments Group. Key responsibilities include the smooth transition of entities to the shared services center within Rewardsco Finance, ensuring timely preparation of balance sheet and income statement deliverables and managing a team of accounting personnel, as well as the implementation of company management systems within the department.
• Responsible for maintaining internal control in accordance with group requirements , staying in contact with key stakeholders regarding the services provided. This role reports to the Head of Finance.

Key Accountabilities : 

• Leads financial shared services center and ensure application of process model
• End to end responsible for accounting of actuals of entities
• Management of staff, incl. planning and development
• Account management of entities
• First point of contact in escalation related issues
• Executes and reviews compliancy of transactional finance controls
• Ensures accounting changes fit with Group consolidation process
• End responsible for financial AP and AR master data
• Drives process improvements and aligns with the Group Finance Director and Head of Finance
• Evaluate and conduct performance appraisals of management staff
• Training provision for personnel within service area / finance pillar
• Ensure a financial filing system is always maintained and up to date
• Review and release EMP 201s
• Review all balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Review and ensure the correctness of all payroll in Sage pastel ( be a liaison with HR to ensure all relevant processes are flowing)
• Setup of GL structure on Group level and advise on allocations
• Overall management of the client billing for Rewardsco Group ( Rewardsco & Mondo)
• Management of cash flow transaction recording
• Managing all transactions and property calculations on rentals etc for partnership agreement with Zenprop

Specific Skills Required : 

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Aptitude for financial accounting
• Excellent problem solving skills 
• Data query/data management abilities
• Capacity for innovation
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Ability to interact at all levels within the organization
• Ability to work in a highly pressurized department and to tight deadlines
• Prior People management experience
• Must be accurate, analytical, independent, organized, pro-active, service minded and a team player

 Minimum Requirements :  

• 10 years finance experience in a BPO industry including finance experience at a holding company level for a group of companies
• Alternatively must have qualified as a CA (SA) with two years post articles experience preferably at one of the Big Four. 
• AP and AR experience essential as well as experience with internal control process execution : operations to finance flows
