Job Description - Gauge Sales Specialist

Leading supplier of valve, flow and instrumentation products requires a highly motivated and results-oriented Gauge Sales Specialist for their branch near Edenvale. The primary objective is to drive sales growth, increase brand awareness at the company's branches as well as with end users, and to secure vendor enlistment to win EPC projects within the region. Remuneration on offer: >R40 000 to R60 000 monthly basic +travel allowance +petrol +pension +medical aid [if required] +incentives Requirements: >Matric/N3 minimum>Technical/engineering qualification advantageous >Specialist sales experience in gauges, and instrumentation >Proven experience in product management and sales roles within the industrial or manufacturing sector, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical or power generation >Strong knowledge of the region's market dynamics, including customers, competitors and industry trends in the Instrumentation industry >Self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team >Strong organisational and admin skills >Computer literacy required >Problem-solving and analytical skills a prerequisite >Willingness to travel within the region as required >Own vehicle essential Duties: >Plan and organise daily activities related to customer appointments, promotions and stock control >Adhere to a pre-set monthly plan outlining customer visits, promotions and other related events >Report on such visits in detail including market activity, prospective applications and sales >Develop and implement marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and market presence >Collaborate with marketing team to create effective marketing campaigns, materials and digital content >Participate in trade shows, conferences and industry events to promote products and services >Identify and engage with potential customers and contractors for enlistment in EPC projects >Lead the vendor enlistment process, including pre-qualification, technical evaluations and negotiations >Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction >Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans in alignment with company objectives and budgeted targets >Identify opportunities for business expansion, market penetration and revenue growth >Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify strategic sales opportunities >Build strong relationships with key customers, contractors, consultants and EPC companies within the region >Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and networking >Work closely with the distributor's sales team to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth >Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential customers >Manage the entire product life cycle, including product selection, pricing, positioning and promotion >Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any technical or operational issues >Serve as primary liaison between manufacturing company and distributor's office Contact Scott on (***)***-****
