FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN – NELSPRUIT – R14000 to R24000 CTC + Comp Vehicle, Cell/Data Allowance, Incentive based on productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of catering equipment such as ovens, grills, refrigerators, dishwashers, and coffee machines.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, identifying the root cause of problems and implementing effective solutions.

• Perform equipment installations and ensure proper functioning according to manufacturer specifications.

• Collaborate with the sales team and customers to provide technical advice and recommendations on suitable equipment based on their requirements.

• Keep accurate records of service reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technical advancements to enhance your expertise and provide valuable insights to the team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a technician or similar role, preferably in the catering or food service industry.

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of catering equipment, including ovens, grills, refrigerators, dishwashers, and coffee machines.

• Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and gas systems associated with catering equipment.

• Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues efficiently.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with customers and team members.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.

• A technical qualification or certification in a relevant field will be advantageous.
