Hospitality and Outdoor -New Vacancy- Reservations Supervisor

Head Office - Cape Town

Seeking an experienced Reservations Supervisor to oversee daily operations. Ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, ensuring guest satisfaction and departmental success. Key responsibilities include maintaining policies and procedures, supporting the team, and enhancing department efficiency. Support Group Reservations Manager in maximizing departmental standards and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Prior hospitality experience required.

  • Possesses exceptional time management, communication skills, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in Opera software is a must.
  • Exemplary attention to detail, proven administrative abilities, and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments requiring multitasking and problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage the reservation team.

Description

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the reservations department.
  • Making sure the team is aware of all hotel programs, services, accommodations types, promotions, rates, and facilities.
  • Assisting the reservation team with technical information and tools needed for their role.
  • Checking reservation requests daily to avoid delays and ensuring they meet or exceed the response time.
  • Updating records of available rooms, rates, daily reservations, cancellations, room bookings, amendments, and no-shows.
  • Conducting training for the team on hotel products, services, and reservation tasks.
  • Solving problems that arise in the reservation process and customer support.
  • Collaborating with sales, revenue, and other departments as needed.
  • Adhering to and enforcing all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervising reservation agents and developing their skills to handle reservation tasks properly.
  • Yielding on room types and rates to ensure maximum revenue.
  • Managing VIP requests and special requests in a professional manner.
  • Resolving customer complaints and requests efficiently and following established policies and procedures.
  • Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed and analyzing reservation data to improve efficiency.
  • Assisting with group reservations, attending to individual bookings, and handling other reservations-related tasks as required.

Package on offer

  • R18 000-R20,000 per month
