JOB SUMMARY:
The position of Sales Manager is responsible for all sales activities to develop customer portfolio and capitalise on customer relationships and maximise the potential for growth of the business. The role is responsible for planning, development, and implementation of the company's Network commercial strategies and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved. This includes organic growth strategies. Works collaboratively with the executive and senior management teams to deliver short-term and long-term growth targets.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Main Responsibilities: Strategy and process execution
- Develop sales and marketing strategies aligned to the company's short-term and long-term strategic goals, for approval by the Board.
- Conduct market research and seek input from key stakeholders to create business plans that support sales and marketing expansion.
- Build a pipeline of opportunities for new business and close sales targets to ensure that sales targets are met.
- Establish sales and marketing dashboards related to goals and objectives and report progress to the executive team and the Board.
Pricing and contract management
- Establish effective pricing and discount strategies, reviewing them annually, and ensure product/services offering by customer is correct and profitable.
- Establish criteria to assess risk level for each customer account.
- Negotiate ongoing contracts with suppliers and customers to derive value for the company.
Leadership
- Promote a climate of trust that motivates the sales and marketing team.
- Develop the sales and marketing team to enhance performance delivery and to ensure effective succession planning.
- Ensure that the proper sales coaching and that Sales knowledge is enhanced.
Customer Management
- Develop key account management concepts for different customers and ensure regular engagement.
- Oversee the attainment of regular customer feedback and implement case resolution mechanisms to build profitable partnerships with customers.
- Review contracts and make recommendations to the executive team and the board.
- Maintain relationships with customers by providing support, researching, and recommending new opportunities.
- Ensure that there is an effective Customer Management System in place.
- Ensure that Customer Services Measures are in place and continue to improve.
