Job Description - Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Customer Support: Provide expert servicing, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning of induction equipment.
Training & Support: Train client technical staff on equipment maintenance and repairs.
Diagnostic & Repair: Diagnose unit problems, conduct inspections, and repair electrical/electronic issues.
Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation, commissioning, and repairs of control systems and insulated cables.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain documentation, ensure safety standards, and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (1993).
Continuous Learning: Enhance your knowledge of induction units through collaboration and technical publications.

Person Specifications:

Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and color vision
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- Strong diagnostic and logical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage situations and work independently
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Electrician/Millwright (with electronics)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing/maintenance environment
Character & Personal Qualities:
- Enjoy mathematical and technical activities
- Aptitude for mechanics and electronics
- Precise and detail-oriented
- Team player and physically fit
- Practical and creative mindset
