Job Description - Service Technician

Requirements:

Artisan Qualification or Diploma or Degree - Fitter and Turner or a Millwright
3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role or department
Valid Driver’s Licence
Must be healthy and able to pass medical examinations required to be considered fit to enter a mine and go underground
Computer Literacy with strong excel and word skills
Good people communication skills
High level technical skills

Responsibilities:

Underground and surface product support including troubleshooting and fitment of new or repaired components.
Underground and surface support including pump commissioning, end-user training and product condition monitoring.
The identification of repair work/business in the form of complete pump overhauls as well as sub-assemblies during your technical interventions with the products and end-users.
Develop strong relationships with end-users, specifically Mine Shaft Foremen and Fitters.
Service exchange delivery and fitment which may include breakdowns.
Accurate completion of job cards and reports.
Completion of monthly expenditure reports.
