SUMMARY:
Stores Manager - East Rand, Gauteng POSITION INFO:
Our Client in the E lectrical Distribution and Warehousing Industry is looking for an experienced Stores Manager to join their team in the East Rand . Requirements:

  • Must reside in the East Rand area
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role
  • Must have reliable transport
  • Have healthy habits
  • Stable work record
  • Have some exposure to ISO 9001 Standards and Auditing
  • Computer literate
  • Must be able to work under pressure and have a keen eye for detail
Job Description The principal reason for employment of a store’s manager is to supervise the day-to-day operations of the stores and to make sure the store runs smoothly and efficiently in accordance with our policies and procedures. The overall aim of the store’s manager is to make sure clients receive excellent customer service through adhering to the stores policies and procedures and to take full responsibility for the accuracy of stock on hand and the performance of the stores staff.
  • Managing, directing and monitoring the stores pickers, packers and drivers
  • Picking and Packing orders
  • Receiving Stock and the overall quality control for all received items 
  • Maintaining an accurate stores database on Pastel Evolution
  • Maintain a LIFO system of stock in the stores
  • Handling stock queries from our sales team
  • Managing and identifying stock variances and interrogating the pastel evolution database
  • Reduction of stock variances 
  • Accurate annual, weekly and monthly spot stock checks
  • Maintaining a stores house-keeping program to keep the stores environment safe and clean.
  • Continuously monitor and direct the efficient allocation of storage bays for stock allocation
  • Clear bin and stock identification of products and label management
  • Reduce errors on picking slips and improve customer service
  • Check and sign off the loading of vehicles for the drivers
  • Bring any issues to the attention of management that may adversely affect the day-to-day operations of the business
  • Liaising with the assembly team leader to manage consumables and reduce stock outs of manufacturing consumables 
  • Liaising with the assembly team leader and internal sales manager to prioritize assembly schedules and resources
  • Receiving and checking of all manufactured stock from Unit 2
  • Managing and directing our quality control policies.
The key performance indicators are:
  • Accurate Inventory database
  • Reducing Non-Conformances
  • Reducing stock variances on the inventory system
  • Improved accuracy and quality control with picking slips
  • Reducing incorrect stock and incomplete deliveries to local and national clients
