Job Description - Area Manager Marketing and Sales

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to oversee marketing and sales initiatives across our lodge properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, enhance brand awareness, and foster guest loyalty.

Requirements:

Matric and preferably a higher education Degree / Diploma in a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an international sales position.
Must be based in a major metropolitan area.
No criminal record (for travel and visa purposes).
Fluent and literate in English.
Great communicative skills in person and online
Microsoft Skills and email proficiency.

a) Communication: This position requires the successful applicant to convey and receive information comfortably, confidently, and effectively in person, telephonically as well as over email.
b) Reading, Writing & Vocabulary: This position requires the successful candidate to review and create media posts, ensuring that the level of media content presented is up to company standards.
c) Accuracy: This position requires the successful candidate to have a keen attention to detail to ensure that accurate information is relayed on posts.
d) Time Management: This position requires the successful candidate prioritize and organize assigned task to be completed in a logical, efficient manner.
e) Socialization: This position requires the successful candidate to have the capacity to mix freely and easily with people from all walks of life.
f) Adaptability: This position requires the successful candidate to be flexible, accept change, opposing views, new ideas, to be imaginative and creative.
g) Self-motivation: This position requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated, have the capacity to take decisions, to lead, to perform and to achieve.
h) Listening skills: This position requires the successful candidate to be a good listener and understand what has been heard clearly and objectively.
i) Self-Actualisation: This position requires the successful candidate to have the capacity to assert him/herself.
j) Organising: This successful candidate will have the capacity to arrange the availability and allocation of required resources, utilise control systems, delegate and coordinate the tasks and duties of individuals and groups in a way that ascertains the smooth flow of work throughout the workplace.
