The dream is to become Gauteng's most successful privately owned brewery.Position Overview:We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Beverage Filtration Technician to join our team at Mad Giant Brewery. As a crucial member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our beverages through effective filtration and carbonation processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of exceptional beverages in a dynamic and collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:1. Operate and maintain filtration and carbonation equipment to ensure efficient and effective beverage filtration processes.2. Monitor filtration parameters such as flow rates, carbonation, dissolved oxygen, pressure differentials, and quality indicators to optimize filtration performance.3. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment cleaning, sanitization (CIP), and filter replacement, to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.4. Conduct quality control checks on filtered beverages to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.5. Collaborate with brewing and packaging teams to schedule filtration activities and coordinate production workflows.6. Maintain accurate records of filtration activities, including equipment logs, maintenance schedules, and quality assurance documentation.7. Identify and troubleshoot filtration issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.9. Prepare deaerated water to specification.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:A matric certificate (Grade 12), with a high score in math and science, is the minimum educational requirement for this role.A diploma in Food and Beverage Operations or Microbiology is advantageous.Computer & Software Skills:You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.Work Experience:Minimum of 2-year work experience in beverage manufacturing is required. Experience with DE (diatomaceous earth) filters are advantageous.You must know the GMP’s (good manufacturing practices) in food and beverage manufacturing.Prior experience in beverage production, filtration, or a related manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance to uphold product standards and specifications.Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed to support production schedules.Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.How to Apply:Only applications on Indeed will be considered.
