This programme combines all the essentials of food and drink preparation, service and supervision with aspects like customer relations, personal development and effective communication.

Modules include:

• Provide Customer Service
• Describe layout, services and facilities of the organisation
• Describe the sectors of the Hospitality, Travel & Tourism Industries
• Maintain health, hygiene and a professional appearance
• Display Cultural Awareness in Dealing with Customers and Colleagues
• Communicate Verbally
• Maintain Effective Working Relationships with Other Members of Staff
• Prepare and clear areas for table service

• Provide a table drink service
• Maintain the drink service

• Handle and store cleaning equipment and materials
• Handle and dispose of waste
• Clean and store glassware
• Clean and restock drinks machines/equipment

• Serve bottled wine
• Recommend, present and serve wines

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen
• 18-28 years old
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Reside in Johannesburg/ Pretoria (Guateng) or surrounding areas

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled learning interventions and workplace experential learning.
