Wine Lounge Supervisor

Wine Estate close to Stellenbosch is looking for a Wine Lounge Supervisor for their bespoke onsite Wine Lounge to assist management on a day-to-day basis with all the responsibilities in the Wine Lounge.

Responsibilities:

• Communicating relevant information to Managers, Cellar and guests
• Responding to guests’ bookings on e-mail and any requests.
• Engaging with the guests in the Lounge by being present, keeping an eye on service and constant interaction with guests and responding to their needs and requests.
• Training and quality control of Wine Lounge staff
• Doing daily cash-ups and notifying any other departments/suppliers of relevant information and daily orders.
• General administrative duties, including record keeping, staff management & training

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Preferably
• 1-2 years previous restaurant supervision / wine tasting experience
• Passionate about wine and the hospitality industry
• Applicable product knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments
• Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
• Must be well-presented
