ACTUARIAL ANALYST

SUMMARY:
Join our client's team as an Actuarial Analyst, where you'll analyze data, assess risk, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. Utilize your mathematical prowess and statistical skills to support pricing, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives. - Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent at NQF Level 7.
- Minimum 5 years of Actuarial experience, with 2 years in Product Development at a specialist/Supervisory/Management level.
- Valid Registration with the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
- Honours Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Mathematics at NQF Level 8 is advantageous.
- Additional Experience in Healthcare Research, Actuarial Analysis, and Maintaining Actuarial Models for Risk Assessment is a plus.

POSITION INFO:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Research and Advocate Policy issues for Healthcare System Improvement.
- Contribute to Mergers, Acquisitions, Product development, and Benefit Design.
- Analyze and Validate Statistical Data, Update Forecasting Models, and Ensure Accuracy.
- Implement Latest Procedures and Standards for Health Plan Development.
- Design Health Metrics, Collaborate for Efficient Implementation.
- Participate in Review project Committees, Provide Actuarial Support Across Business units, and Undertake Assigned tasks as needed. Technical knowledge:
- Familiarity with relevant legislation (MSA, CMSLA, etc.).
- Understanding of Evidence-based Medicine Principles and Research Methodologies.
- Proficiency in Health Financing Systems and Economics.
- Ability to collect, Analyze, and Interpret large datasets for informed Actuarial Decisions. Apply Apply Apply !!
