Job Description

Job Purpose To develop and deliver the commercial strategy for COMPANY South Africa, for Wound Care, Incontinence and Protection portfolios, and to ensure Sales & EBIT targets are met on an annual basis and over the long-range plan (LRP). The strategy must be aligned to COMPANY South Africa and COMPANY AG overarching strategies. Job Responsibilities To develop the Commercial strategy and implement it, ensuring that it includes regular monitoring such as KPIs and milestones and appropriate tracking tools; creative initiatives and solutions for to grow sales, EBIT and market share, pricing across all channels, new product launches, competitive information and it is compliant with COMPANY’s code of compliance, Medical Device Regulations South Africa and ISO13485. Manage, lead and coach the team to ensure that they develop a sustainable performance culture. Through meeting their Sales and Business Targets, living the principles of leadership, accountability, commitment and execution (L.A.C.E), completing tactical activities to the best of their abilities and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. To support PHZA leadership and the Managing Director in developing the company strategy and financial plans, by providing annual and quarterly forecasts for the business unit, monitoring expenditure and instituting corrective action where needed. Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Key Accounts to further establish COMPANY as a best in class supplier. Continuously seek opportunities to grow the market through new customers and sectors, and evaluating portfolio extension opportunities, launch new products should they be appropriate for the wants and needs of our customers Upholding the high ethical and compliance standards that are integral to PHZA’s business, whilst driving performance and a continuous improvement best practice culture. Business Focus Wound Care brands, marketing, training and sales team Incontinence & Protection portfolios marketing Sales team across the entire COMPANY portfolio Tender administration for state and private hospitals Retail channel for all COMPANY brands including retail sales representatives and merchandisers Salesforce.com Experience Strong understanding of the market and/or similar product portfolio(s) to develop strategies and tactics to drive the business Skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Negotiation and influencing skills Energetic, self-starter Sound organisational skills and ability to multi-task Strong leadership competencies Strong interpersonal relations and customer focus Manage change internally and among different cultures High stress tolerance and ability to make difficult decisions Demonstrates leadership, commitment, accountability and execution, and has a proven ability to drive these competences through their team. Makes decisions taking into consideration the return on investment, resources, constraints and organisational values. Upholds the high standards of working a medical device business including ISO13485 and the MDR as it applies to COMPANY products. Sets vision and strategy - creating a vision for the future of COMPANY and their area of responsibility in South Africa. Establish and commits to strategies and course of action to accomplish agreed long-range goals Planning, organising and prioritising – plans work activities, reviews and prioritises as necessary to achieve high standards and meet deadlines. Team working – works with others across the organisation to accomplish goals and identify and resolve problems

Inherent Requirements

A degree in either business or life sciences Minimum of 5 years sales and marketing management, preferably within the wound care market Minimum 5 years management experience Familiarity with the medical device industry Knowledge of healthcare systems and decision-making processes
