• Prepare pastries, desserts, bread, and other bakery items from scratch following traditional recipes or as directed by the Pastry Chef.
• To supervise the work and training of in-house trainees in the section as required.
• Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented.
• Plating and presenting meal items as per the seniors’ instructions as well as judging the quality of raw material & providing quality finished products.
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation as well as restocking items in the section as required.

Requirements

• A certification from a reputable culinary school specialising in pastry is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a professional kitchen; previous experience working with pastries is preferred.
• Knowledge of various pastry techniques (baking, decoration) is essential. Must be passionate about pastry and continuously maintain high standards of quality and service.
