Job Description - Hotel Assistant Front Office Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Rooms Division Manager in daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training of front desk associates.
  • Supervise the front desk team to ensure efficient and professional guest service delivery.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and effective manner, striving for guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to front desk activities, including occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to address guest needs and resolve issues promptly.
  • Oversee the check-in/check-out process, including room assignments, billing, and payment processing.
  • Monitor and enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance and uphold standards of quality and service.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy levels, including upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of front office staff, conducting interviews and providing input on hiring decisions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hospitality management, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in hotel front office operations, with at least [3] years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software systems, such as Opera or Fidelio.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest service.
  • Knowledge of revenue management principles and experience in maximizing room revenue.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
