We are currently looking for a junior, IT Technician to be employed as an on-site resource at one of our major clients. We are looking for somebody who is stays in the Southern Suburbs area as this client is located in Tokai.
We need a hardworking, dedicated and career-minded individual with at least 1-2 years experience.
Technical Requirements
A+ and N+ or MCSE/MCITP
Desktop hardware and software support.
Clear understanding of office 2010/2013/2016 installation, support and maintenance is required for Windows.
Office 365 Setup and configuration with Azure AD and MFA.
Good understanding of Microsoft products.
Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 Experience.
Exchange Server 2013/2016 or Exchange online experience.
Micros point of sale experience and Opera experience. (will be an advantage).
Understanding of DNS/DHCP and networking protocols.
Strong networking knowledge is required.
Understanding of WLAN, WAN and LAN environments. Familiar with Ubiquiti products.
Helpdesk knowledge and experience dealing with customers and understanding how to deliver clear and effective IT Support Services.
Network Cabling, Wireless configuration, and management.
Personal Skills/Attributes:
Excellent communication skills. Person needs to communicate with guests, IT vendors and Hotel Management.
Punctual, motivated, and presentable.
Must be able to perform under pressure.
Fluent in Afrikaans and English. Job Description
The candidate will be an on-site technical resource that needs to support the Hotel in their daily IT related requirements. Daily check ins with different departments at the Hotel. Resolve problems that may surface from day to day. The resource will need to interact with various external vendors if issues are encountered with third party Hotel IT systems or services. The resource will need to track and follow up on any problems with third party applications or services until the issues have been resolved. Daily reporting to hotel management and the company’s internal account manager. The resource will also be given specific tasks to improve the current IT environment. Ticketing system will be used to track daily problems and tasks to measure performance. The resource will be backed up by other technicians employed by our company.
