We are excited to announce various Sous chef positions available in and around Cape Town for upmarket properties and hotels. If you have a passion for cooking and a desire to take your skills to the next level, this is the opportunity for you!
As a Sous chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed. You will also be responsible for managing food inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous chef or similar role in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
A culinary degree or equivalent training and experience preferred
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
